ABOUT
I'm Eddy Davis. I'm just a regular fifty-something dude with a wife and four kids and a bunch of dogs. I work in construction and I got a real job. I'm just a guy. I started NOFXGVN because I got tired of shitty shirts with lame designs.
You know the ones. Garbage prints, cheap fabric, fits like a tent, shrinks two sizes the first wash, feels like sandpaper by month three. I hate that. I wanted a shirt I'd actually wear even if it didn't have a design on it.
So that's where I started. Every shirt on this site is a Bella+Canvas — soft, comfortable, doesn't shrink, fits how a shirt is supposed to fit. Everyone who tries one loves them. That part wasn't negotiable.
The designs are mostly mine. Some came from buddies. Some from arguments. Some from things I've yelled out loud in the truck. I'm a little rough around the edges, I'm pretty anti-woke, and I'd rather be outside than just about anywhere else. I'm a 90s kid — old skater, snowboarder, dirt biker, hiker, camper, all of it. Most of what I'm putting on these shirts is for people who get it. People like me.
This took a year to put together, way longer than I thought it would. It turns out building a real brand takes a hell of a lot more work than people think. For now everything is print-on-demand through Canadian and US suppliers, and every single design on this site is 100% designed in Canada.
That's the floor, not the ceiling. The plan, if this thing works, is to start printing it ourselves here in BC. Eventually I want to be manufacturing shirts in BC too. Right now there are basically no Canadian shirt manufacturers that are cost-effective — there's a couple of guys doing hemp stuff, but that's not my gig. The end goal is to build something real here. Create some jobs. Make stuff in this country again.
We'll see how it goes.
For now — look around and tell me what you like, tell me what you hate. Buy some cool stuff. Support the dream.
And if you've got an idea for a design you want to see, send it over. If I put it up on the site, you get 10% of the profit on every one that sells. Try me. I want to hear from you.
